Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, in remarks Thursday, ranked U.S. ally India with China as a rising threat to the U.S. in Asia. The Pentagon quickly sought to roll back the remarks.India is an ally. Panetta is the Secretary of Defense. Do you hear? Secretary of Defense! A supposed expert on foreign policy. A specialist. If anyone should know better it is he. Where are the catcalls? The peals of uproarious laughter? The snobby snickers from the ruling elite? The insults to Panetta's intelligence? I'll hold my breath.
Herman Cain is looking pretty good right about now. And I bet Sarah Palin knows where we stand with respect to Russia.
