Sunday Ponderance

Three excerpts from God's Undertaker: Has Science Buried God? by John C. Lennox

Is naturalism actually demanded by science? Or is it just conceivable that naturalism is a philosophy that is brought to science, more than something that is entailed by science.

Authors such as Peter Atkins, Richard Dawkins and Daniel Dennett argue that there is strong scientific evidence for atheism. They are therefore happy to make a scientific case for what is, after all, a metaphysical position. They, of all people, therefore, have no grounds for objecting to others using scientific evidence to support the opposing metaphysical position of theistic design.

For my part I confess to finding it curious that those who claim that there is no such thing as truth expect me to believe that what they are saying is true!
